Celebrity Style, // Architectural styling in women’s coat

Laila Azhar dresses, one shoulder grecian dress, BCBG one shoulder dress
Ah! Which woman would not desire to be worshiped as though she is a goddess – to look and feel that she is perfect with no flaws in character or appearance! Unfortunately this state of being is a dream for most of us mortal women who grapple with various body image issues. Well, there is one way you can get the feel of looking divine – at least temporarily – by wearing a draped goddess dress.

These Grecian-inspired dresses drape beautifully around the body, highlighting the bust and disguising problem areas. They are made of soft flowy materials and flatter most figures. Take a look at five dresses that can give you a draped goddess look:

1. BCBGMAXAZRIA “Matilde” one shoulder empire waist dress

If you aspire to Aphrodite for the evening, try this BCBG one shoulder dress (above, leftmost). It is an elegant white full length dress with a padded bust and an empire waist. It has a crossover band and gathering in front.

2. Ali Ro Grecian stretched silk draped dress

This one shoulder Grecian dress (above, third from the left) is in keeping with the spring trend of neutral colors. Its soft stretch silk drapes beautifully around the body, enhancing its shape, while the diagonally draped bodice and overlapping skirt hide that little tummy bulge! This dress has a jeweled shoulder detail. If you so desire, you can add a pop of color to your outfit with a brightly hued clutch or cuff bracelet.

3. Laila Azhar asymmetrical panel dressLaila Azhar assymetrical panel dress

One of the simpler yet stylish Laila Azhar dresses from her Fall 2010 collection, this LBD is inspired by the toga.  It has a waist darts and princess seams to give it a figure flattering silhouette.

4. Halston Heritage lamé gown

Want to shimmer and shine? This silver gown (above, rightmost) has a front slit and a wrapped front. Wear it gathered at the shoulder or draped around the arm. Dazzle everyone in this Grecian inspired goddess dress!

5. Diane von Furstenburg “Agantha” one shoulder printed dress

Believe in doing things differently? How about a printed Grecian dress! This pretty Diane von Furstenburg asymmetric dress (above, second from the left) gives you the benefit of a figure flattering silhouette and a chic yet casual appearance simultaneously.

Revo sunglasses, wrap around sunglasses, prescription Oakley sunglasses
Why you should wear sunglasses? Girls, this is a million dollar question! Do you really think these celebs wear such big sunglasses to not get noticed? Well, maybe at night celebrities don their shades to just get noticed but during the day, sunglasses offer some great benefits both health and beauty wise.

Sunglasses are available in a variety of design and styles. You should carry them in your bag for anytime protection from the harsh sun. Too much or too little of light can be bad and sunglasses help to reduce the light on brighter days.
Here are some cool benefits of chic sunglasses:

1.  Protection from harmful UV rays

Cataracts and even AMD (age-related macular degeneration) occurs due to ultraviolet radiation or UV. Wearing a pair of quality sunglasses protects the eyes from these UV rays. It also prevents damage to the delicate eye-area skin, reducing wrinkles and premature aging.

2. Reducing glare

We all read in physics that surfaces reflect light. This reflection takes place from windshields, mirrors, water and more. This extremely vivid reflection tends to interfere with vision and causes distraction, especially if you are driving or biking. Opt for Revo sunglasses, which are polarized and hence reduce the reflection glare. They provide a much safer vision and decrease risks of accidents. I personally prefer this brown shade over black but you can check out some other colors too.

3. Protection from dust and debris

It can be irritating to constantly rub your eyes because of dust, wind and debris. Especially, if you are biking, skiing or indulging in some outdoor sport. Wind leads to reduction of evaporation, which in turn forms tears. There is also risk of corneal abrasion if a particle gets into the eye. Opt for wrap around sunglasses that reduce injuries and eye dryness. The Nike wrap around sunglasses pictured above are lightweight and perfect for windy days.

4. Reducing strain on eyes and headaches

Have vision problems? Don’t worry – prescription sunglasses can solve this issue. Muscle fatigue from pupil contraction or dilation is controlled by wearing prescription sunglasses. This feature is also available in non-prescription sunglasses too. Less squinting means lowered stress on pupil and nerves in the area, which prevents strain and headaches. Pick prescription Oakley sunglasses to give your eyes the much needed protection!
wrap coat
It is a piece of clothing you wear the most when it is cold, and it is also one of the bigger clothing investments that you will make: yes, we are talking about coats. One recommendation is a wrap coat. Wrap yourself in warm and style in a wrap coat. Its oversized design is less structured and easy to wear.
Wrap coat is a stylish addition to any wardrobe and drapes beautifully over jeans. It is great for work, dress or dressy casual too. Features that distinguish a wrap coat are – A tie belt, distinct lapels and pockets.  The lapels can be round, winged, shawl or split in design. Pockets are open and roomy, mostly as a front patch, but vertical pockets are common too. In addition, there are hidden snap closures inside the coat for a neat appearance with clean lines.
The coat comes in different lengths. It can be a full length coat as a tunic or shorter length in a jacket style. It comes in different fabrics- cashmere, angora wool, fleece, tweed, suede, leather, knit or cotton. These belted coats are simple, yet timeless and classy. The sleeveless style has great potential for layering with knits and arm warmers. Open or exposed front allows for drape with various scarves.
Wrap coat would be loved by women who like to show off their waist and equally hated by women who have no waist! So for those of you out there with an enviable waist, flatter your shape in this well designed and sleek looking coat.
