Sorry, BAFTAs. Between Fashion Week, the Grammys, and you, something was going to get the shaft, and unfortunately it was y’all. We need to move forward and not spend all of next week’s pre-Oscar days posting on an awards ceremony that’s firmly behind us. But the good news is, we thought a lot of people looked very pretty, including these five ladies. So what if we’re trying to knock out the pictures from your red carpet? The point is, these women are knockouts, period.
This print is really funky, and the belt gives the dress a perfect shape without competing with it -- and that's tough, given what an active pattern it is. I might wish she'd put up her hair, but that's such a minor beef, it wouldn't even make up a McDonald's cheeseburger patty.
A very nice, simple, classy red, with a kick-ass purse. I kind of wish Annette Bening had worn this to the Globes.
Lovely. It's trying SO much less hard that some of her other outfits, like that awful skintight white thing she wore to the Globes. See, Amy? When you RELAX, the glamour happens.
This one tripped me up for a second -- I wasn't in love with the camisole look, but I also don't know how to change this so that you don't need it, and overall I like it enough that I've decided I can live with the slip. Not totally sure about the purple purse with it? But, the girl is mortal. Sometimes shit happens. Overall I think she nailed it again, in yet another interesting way. She is never boring, which is a hard thing to achieve at her age. Like, Jennifer Aniston is in her 40s and SHE hasn't even figured out how not to be boring.
