2NE1 vs. Rodarte?

I've contemplated a whole lot whether I should post about this and thought why not, it'll be interesting to see what the response would be.

As you all know, 2NE1 came back with a new full album in September. Instead of promoting 1-2 songs, they took up a challenge of promoting 3 songs (Can't Nobody, Clap Your Hands and Go Away). YG Entertainment released teaser photos of 2NE1 at their MV sets prior to their album release on YG-Life.

So guess what I noticed? The similarity in 2NE1's Clap Your Hands music video and Rodarte Spring/Summer 2010 collection.

No, it's not the clothes but the make-up. Rodarte Spring/Summer 2010 collection was all about tribal elements which I was deeply in love with. Upon seeing 2NE1's Clap Your Hands video and pictures, I have to admit I was disappointed. Blatantly copying them? Or simply following suit?

2NE1 are known for being the trendsetters instead of trendfollowers, which is probably what upsets me the most. Furthermore, they were much more interesting in fashion wise when they first debuted. What do you think? Leave comments!

Clap Your Hands was also my least favorite music videos, they look like they were trying too hard to create the "female gansta" look.

2NE1 are pretty young ladies for Vogue Girl

Ahead of their anticipated comeback, 2NE1 poses for Vogue Girl magazine. Photographed by Kim Bo Sung the girls dressed up in garments from Alexander McQueen, Alexander Wang, Burberry Prorsum, Cheap Monday, Helmut Lang, Jardin de Chouette, Jasmine di Milo, Jeremy Scott, Rick Owens, The Shoe, Todd Lynn and more.

Definitely one of my favorite editorial shoot since their debut. The girls look grown up and chic! But I dislike the fur boots Park Bom and CL were wearing, questionable styling. Very 2NE1-esque shoot. I would really love to see them in non-2NE1 clothes time to time, photoshoots to photoshoots... I also notice the same corset Dara is wearing was seen on Seo In Young previously!

Say "HI" to yet another 2NE1 post! After reading all the feedbacks which was written to me through Eiffel In Seoul's 1st Anniversary, I got to know that there were many of you who are really interested in 2NE1's style/fashion posts. So here I am, feeding your interest! Although they hardly make appearances, I'll try to catch up with all the "missing" fashion items and get it uncovered! If you have any requests, just hit me up on Formspring!

The members of 2NE1 attended the VIP screening of latest war film, Into The Gunfire on June 8, 2010 in support of fellow YG-Family member, Big Bang's T.O.P.

Decked in military-esque garments, lady spring a.k.a Park Bom (박봄) wore Alexander Wang's Spring/Summer 2010 vest and pants. Completing the look with Alexander McQueen's Crystal Skull-print Blue Vest and Faithful Leather Glove Clutch.

The Alexander McQueen Crystal Skull-print Vest retailed for approx. USD$480.00, in blue and pink. Unfortunately sold out on Net-A-Porter. If you're dying to get your hands on the vest, try eBay! I've seen a couple of sellers listing the item from USD$380.00 onwards.

Park Bom (박봄) carried Alexander McQueen's Faithful Leather Clutch which is retailing from USD$524.00 onwards in various colors and materials (as seen above). Aside from the above clutches you've seen, McQueen also has the studded version which I thought was way cooler and rocker-chic. Unfortunately.. sold out on Net-A-Porter. (The last one with white studded gloves has a very Michael Jackson feel.)

It would be really interesting to see what shoe/heels she was wearing, unfortunately.. there isn't a shot of it uploaded on the internet. Surprisingly, Park Bom (박봄) was the only one who got photographed and have her pictures were uploaded on the net... so I was not able to identify what the rest of the girls were wearing (how very upsetting!).

I absolutely loved her look and how simple its accessorized. Been a long time since I saw a good outfit from the stylists! Way to go~ I can't wait for their comeback! What do you think of the look? Love it, hate it?.. or just average?

Into The Gunfire is set to hit the theaters on June 16, 2010.

2NE1 stays stylish in America Part 1

With recent reports of 2NE1 in Los Angeles, CA USA, the members of 2NE1 have been updating us with pictures and videos of their trip to the States through me2day! Of course, staying as stylish as ever, we can't miss out on what they have been sporting!

Park Bom (박봄) dons a pair of Alexander McQueen boots from its Spring/Summer 2010 collection. She paired the outfit with a black top with mesh details and a pair of studded denim shorts. Perfect outfit for summer!

The Alexander McQueen Paint Splatter Clip Toe Boots retails for USD$1039.00 on couture.zappos.com. Do you think the price is too hefty for something you could probably d-i-y?

Stay tuned to more 2NE1 fashion posts!

Park Bom wears Christopher Kane and Alexander McQueen in 'It Hurts'

2NE1 released their latest music video for my favorite song off their 1st full-length album, It Hurts on November 1, 2010 (supposedly to be released on October 31). Channeling a gothic-theme for Halloween.

The music video was interesting and boring to me at the same time. I love how they chose such a "dark" concept which is unlike the Korean industry (think SNSD, 4minute music videos). But also wished there were more outfit changes, were their stylists lazy or they wanted it simple?

In the music video, Park Bom (박봄) wore a dress from Christopher Kane Fall 2010 collection. I guess it's no surprised why they picked Christopher Kane considering having seen them in his designs.

The lace dress features a patent leather bodice embroidered with crystals. Her outfit was styled with patent boots and furry accessories which I really dislike. I'm not loving her hair color either, whether it's a wig or not. I like her red hair better.

In the video, she also wore a burnished silver-tone metal skull ring with heart detailed from Alexander McQueen. The Swarovski Metal Skull Ring retailed for USD$320.00 on Net-A-Porter, no longer available.

Do you love her outfit? Leave comments below and rate the post! If you have any request or questions, feel free to ask me on Formspring.me.

2NE1 attends 2011 Style Icon Awards with Jeremy Scott

2NE1 were the only female girl group that attended the 2010 Style Icon Awards on November 17, 2010. They walked the red carpet with their fashion god-daddy, Jeremy Scott. As predicted, the girls were dressed in Jeremy Scott, once again, making a bold fashion statement (especially CL).

The limelight was definitely on CL (이채린) and her hanger dress. The satin dress is gorgeous and ridiculous at the same time but absolutely perfect and appropriate for the event. I wonder if CL's arm is aching from holding the hanger? Her outfit was completed with a pair of thigh high boots from Tabitha Simmons.

Sandara Park (박산다라) wore the Cross Dress. The dress is available for purchase on Opening Ceremony for USD$785.00.

Both Park Bom (박봄) and Gong Minzy (공민지) were wearing similar prints. Not a huge fan of the dresses but Park Bom looks great with her newly dyed hair.

Gong Minzy on the other hand looked terrible. The hair is not working for her, the dress is really unflattering for her figure and the sheer tights made it worst.

Needless to say, CL was my favorite. I love her boldness for wearing the dress and her confidence. I'm surprised they weren't dressed in Scott's latest collection.

2NE1 attends MCM Fashion Show, wears Hannah Marshall

German luxury fashion brand, MCM presented its Fall/Winter 2010 collection at Lotte Hotel on November 15, 2010. Celebrities like Eugene (유진), Lee Yoon Ji (이윤지), Lee Yo Won (이요원) and a few others were invited to the show. Girl group, 2NE1 also put up a performance at the event.

The ladies were dressed in custom-made MCM leather outer wears with Hannah Marshall Bullet Dress from its Spring/Summer 2010 collection. Other than the different outer wears, all of them were pretty much wearing the same items. Dress + tights + open-toe wedges.

I was surprised their stylist actually put them in the same outfits! Unusual of them to wear the same outfits altogether. It was also a disappointment. I would at least want to see Park Bom (박봄) showing off her slender legs.
Dear 2NE1's stylist, the Bullet Dress is not the only dress in Hannah Marshall Spring/Summer 2010 collection. I wished you would put the girls in different colorful outfits like when they first debut.
I'm not sure if you feel the same way as I do, but they are getting incredibly boring. They no longer have the "wow factor" they bring when they were rookies. Sorry to burst your bubble (2NE1 stans), but I'm sure there are people who feel the same way as I do.

Do you think it's a change better or for worse? Me thinks, for the worse.

2NE1 walks Mnet Asian Music Awards' Red Carpet

Mnet Asian Music Awards is back biger and stronger than ever before! The MAMA Awards was held at Cotai Arena, Venetian Hotel in Macau on November 28, 2010.

2NE1 arrived on the red carpet in Balmain and Azzedine Alaia, check out the break down of their outfits :

CL (이채린) arrived on the red carpet wearing Balmain Jacquard/Brocade Trench Coat with gold chains. She styled the coat with Tabitha Simmons Lace Up Corset Boots which she have been wearing a lot lately.

The pair of boots is available for purchase on Matches Fashion, Bergdorf Goodman, Browns Fashion, Luisa via Roma and Colette from USD$ 1825.05 - 2497.00.

Sandara Park (박산다라) took the limelight this time, dressed in Balmain Purple Feather Cape from Fall/Winter 2010 collection. Paired with a sheer t-shirt, Balmain denim and sandals. I wished she wore the black version of the fur instead, available on Net-A-Porter for USD$7555.00.

Do stay tuned to updates on another Korean celebrity wearing the Balmain Cape!

2NE1's youngest member, Gong Minzy (공민지) wore Balmain Double Breasted Brocade Jacket from its Fall/Winter 2010 collection (USD$10,085 on Net-A-Porter). I can't figure out what bottom was she wearing.. a skirt with tights and sheer stockings? The outfit was completed with Azzedine Alaïa Pony Hair Hiking Boots.

Park Bom (박봄) was the only member who was not dressed in Balmain but in Azzedine Alaïa instead. Her outfit was styled with a waist belt and Azzedine Alaïa boots. She was my favorite among the members.

The dress was also worn by Im Su Jung (임수정), Kim Kardashian and Bianca Brandolini D'adda. Check out the post here.

Park Bom wears Alexander Wang to Strong Heart

A few on you have been asking me who designed Park Bom (박봄)'s Sweater which she wore to Strong Heart after I posted Sandara Park's Versus T-Shirt.

2NE1's lead vocalist, Park Bom (박봄) wore Alexander Wang Drape Back T-Shirt from Spring/Summer 2010 to the variety show. Her outfit was accessorized with Hermès Collier Du Chien Bracelet.

In episode 6 of 2NE1 TV, the girl group visited London where they met up with Will.I.Am for their music recording. Will.I.Am approved of Park Bom (박봄) wearing the shirt by putting a thumbs up!

Singers Cheryl Cole and Rihanna have also spotted the T-Shirt. All of them styled their outfits differently.

Park Bom wears Mary Katrantzou and Christian Louboutin to SBS Gayo Daejun

2NE1 attended the annual SBS Gayo Daejun which was held on December 29, 2010 at Ilsan KINTEX. Singers and groups like 2AM, Beast, BoA, Kara, SNSD and many more were in the lined-up.

Park Bom (박봄) was my best dressed that night, wearing a dress from Mary Katrantzou Fall/Winter 2010 collection. The dress features jewel prints inspired by Madame de Pompadour's portraits and Fragonard paintings. Christian Louboutin Supra Fifre 120 Thigh High Boots to complete her look.

The dress is currently retailing for USD$1207.34 on Colette.fr and is on sale for USD$569.00 on Barneys (what a steal!).

2NE1 Sandara Park & Park Bom wears Versace

It's Christmas Eve and I thought this would be a great post for all 2NE1 lovers!
2NE1 came back with 'To Anyone' in September 2010 wearing tons of designer outfits from Alexander Wang, Chrome Hearts to Jeremy Scott and many more.

I'm sure many of you were curious about the bodysuit Sandara Park (박산다라) wore in Taeyang (태양)'s 'I Need A Girl' music video. It is also the same bodysuit Park Bom (박봄) wore in 'Can't Nobody' music video.

I guess the header already gave away the designer of the bodysuit. Right.. it's from Versace Resort 2010. The bodysuit features bright multi-colored baroque prints.

Various designs featuring the design from bikini, bodysuit to dress retails on Browns Fashion from USD$390.83 - $687.85).

I was actually surprised to know the designs are from Versace, they don't look Versace to me at all but I love the prints and the colors are great. Their stylist (whoever it is) did a great job on this. However, styling Sandara Park (박산다라)'s outfit was horrible. Those yellow boots that match the bodysuit makes it look incredibly tacky.

2NE1 wears Yoshiko Creation Paris in 'To Anyone'

Just a few days before the New Year I was on my usual hunt for anything that 2NE1 wore and to my surprise I found out who designed those earrings which they wore in 'To Anyone'.

It's none other than Japanese designer label, Yoshiko Creation Paris (stylized as YOSHiKO CREATiON PARiS). If you didn't know, Lady GaGa have been sporting Yoshiko's designs too. It definitely didn't come as a surprise to me since 2NE1 stylists have friends in Japan like Mademoiselle Yulia etc..

The "Pierce" earrings retailed for 22,000¥ (approx. USD$270.90, xe.com). Unfortunately, Yoshiko Creation Paris have ceased production for this particular product. If it does reproduce, I promise you'll be the first to know!

[Update] They will be available in stores, February 2011!

Park Bom wears Balmain to Nikon Photo Talk Show

2NE1's Park Bom (박봄) recently attended Nikon Photo Talk Show on April 24, 2011 along with fellow group member, Minzy (공민지) at Coex Mall.

The singer wore an ensemble from Balmain Spring/Summer 2011 collection, acessorizing her look with a leopard print scarf with turquoise beads that matched her nails. Giuseppe Zanotti Black/Silver Studded Sandals to complete her look.

The Balmain Safety Pin-Embellished Cutout Cotton Top retails for a whopping USD$2570.00 on Net-A-Porter and guess what?, it's sold out!

She also wore Zip-detailed Cotton Pants from Balmain. Although Net-A-Porter doesn't stock the exact piece she's wearing, check out two similar pieces available on the site (A), (B).

Of the 4 members who attended the event on different days, she was my best dressed. The outfit was not too casual or dressy, just right. But would you pay USD$2570.00 for a slashed t-shirt with safety pins all over?
