I'm never as crazy for bags as I am for shoes. My eyes are always glued to black ones in particular, I guess for the simple fact that you can never go wrong with black. Black never goes out of style. Platforms, too, for me, at least. I can't even think of going back to what-it-was before platforms became popular again. Thoughts?

I was lucky enough to catch the last pair on Net-a-Porter on my birthday, and only recently I have received
them. I guess you've already noticed my obsession for green lately, haven't you?
Moreover, I really liked the white dots, which are by the way one of the trends for the next seasons.

Marni wedges.

MARNI. Sooo happy that I managed to snag a pair of these amazing Marni wedges when they suddenly appeared on Yoox.
They arrived yesterday and are even more stunning in person, can’t wait to get better from this stupid flu so I can take them out for a spin!

*tshirt some dude gave me that i cut up into a tank, UO shorts that i also cut up, boots given to me from my rad boss, gifted KONSTANTINO bracelet, UO hat, vintage peruvian llama bag, DIY dreamcatcher necklace that i made 2 years ago and never wear.

it's such a gorgeous day!!! if you don't know already, i HATE winter and everything that comes along with it (ie: dressing for the cold. not my steeze.) i feel 100% myself in attire appropriate for a 90 degree day at the beach. ie: this outfit.

i've been searching for the perfect flat brimmed black hat for months now, and just so happened to find this one at urban outfitters the other day. i'm not really a hat person, but i have a feeling i'm going to be wearing this with pretty much everything for awhile. hats have a strange way of completing an outfit no matter what.

(so here is the promised photo of the llama bag. insane, right?)

madeline works at konstantino, a high-end jewelry company sold most notably at neiman marcus. when she sent me a text message proclaiming that she had a $900 gold and silver bracelet with my name on it... i pretty much freaked out. i have NEVER in my LIFE owned anything this nice- part of me thinks i should have the clasp soldered shut so it will absolutely never come off of my wrist.

my bracelet is sterling silver and 18k gold, designed and handmade in athens, greece... as is all of their jewelry. konstantino is definitely one of the most ethical companies out there right now- supporting individual artisans and women while donating to charities and not practicing exploitation for financial gain (ie: outsourcing to china, bali, etc)

i've never been so proud and honored to wear a piece of jewelry before. you should really check out all of their stuff on the neiman marcus website- there are some amazing pieces that are semi-afforable, depending on your budget, such as this gorgeous pendant for $120: here

Dreamy Vintage

 

A lot of you always ask where my favorite places to shop are/where I get
my vintage pieces. Well I get most of my favorite dresses and more from
this vintage boutique right here in Fayetteville, Arkansas. It is called Grey Dog,
and it is nothing short of amazing! Located inside of a vintage 1970's airstream
trailer, it is just the most charming little place ever.
Plus the owner Molly is such a sweetheart! I am also lucky enough to work here sometimes. Being surrounded by beautiful clothing from decades past is most definitely the dream job! So if you are ever down south, stopping here is a must!

Mon dressing vient d'accueillir une nouvelle paire de chaussures : des Christian Louboutin Nude, modèle Fifi. Depuis le temps que je rêvais d'escarpins nude, j'ai investi dans ceux-ci que je trouve parfaits en tout point :) Leur bout rond légèrement fuselé et leur hauteur (100mm) allongent les jambes de manière assez notoire. La couleur est beige mais rosé pile poil comme il faut. Ces chaussures sont un chouilla moins confortables que les You You ou les Pigalle mais on peut les porter toute la journée sans problème. Enfin, s'il faut courir dans tout Paris, on évite bien sûr ;) Et puis elles taillent correctement puisque j'ai pris ma vraie pointure (38,5) contrairement à certains modèles parfois.

 

J'ai trouvé les miennes à la boutique rue de Grenelle (dans le 7eme, numéro 38/40 donc coté Saint Germain et non pas Champs de Mars). Elle est d'ailleurs plus petite que les autres (une seule pièce carrée de taille moyenne) mais elle est beaucoup plus belle et mieux agencée. Je ne sais pas si le vendeur m'a dit ça par simple argument de vente mais ces Fifi viennent juste de sortir donc vous pourrez les trouver dans votre pointure assez facilement (contrairement aux You You nude de Clémence Poésy par exemple). En guise de piqûre de rapel, je vous ai mis les points de vente parisiens et leur numéro de téléphone plus bas ;)

 

I got a new pair of shoes, girls : Christian Louboutin nude Fifi heels! I have wanted nude heels for such a long time that when I saw these shoes, I immediately fell in love with them. They are perfection! Well, they only got one tiny negative point : they are less comfortable than my You You or Pigalle. However, they are really cool and I can wear them all the day long. Not when I go for a shopping time or walk a lot out and about Paris for instance but it's ok for the rest. The colour? It's a perfect pinky beige. The toe? A mix between point and round.

 

And what about the availability? Great as they have just been commercialized. Plus, they run true to size so if you want to order them on Saks or whatever, go for it with no doubt ;) (instead of Clémence Poésy's nude You You). I bought my pair in a parisian Christian Louboutin boutique, at rue de Grenelle (at the number 38/40, in the 7th district but near Saint Germain, not the Eiffel Tower). This store is smaller than the others but it's very well decorated, I really love it!
