Paris -- My BF's Attacker PROPOSED at Media Event
Paris Hilton just realized ... the guy who attacked her boyfriend at an L.A. courthouse this week PROPOSED to her at a So Cal media event back in February ... and it was all caught on tape.
Hilton just went to her Twitter page and wrote, "OMG! I just realized that the attacker from [the attack] video is same nut who proposed at [a Macy's event in February]."
The man -- James Rainford -- was arrested after smacking Cy Waits in the back of the head Wednesday as Cy was walking Paris into court.
Rainford -- who was already on probation -- plead no contest to misdemeanor battery and was sentenced to 227 days in jail.

Paris Hilton -- I'm APOLOGIZING To Lindsay
Paris Hilton feels SO BAD about the verbal jab she took at Lindsay Lohan ... she's now issuing a full-fledged apology ... TMZ has learned.
TMZ spoke with Hilton ... who tells us, "I apologize to Lindsay for the comment that I made. I was joking around but it was thoughtless and unnecessary."
We broke the story ... Hilton zinged Lohan on her reality show, "The World According to Paris" -- taking a shot at Lohan about her theft case. Lohan told friends she was hurt by the comment.
But Hilton insists she's serious about repairing the relationship ... saying, "I am reaching out to Lindsay so I can tell her myself."
