Harry + Peggy's Timeless Roslyn, NY, wedding by G.E. Masana

Today I'm sharing an incredibly timeless wedding as well as introducing you to one of CB's new sponsors, NY-based photographer G.E. Masana. Aren't they adorable? When G.E. shared the story of how this couple met, I knew I had to include it ... read on but prepare to melt just a tad! ;o)

The groom, Harry, told me {the story of how he met Peggy}.


Harry coaches for a kid's sports team and sustained an injury. Needed physical therapy and a good friend of his happened to run such a clinic. So he checked himself in.


Peggy was one of the therapists assigned to him. He was smitten by her and asked her out.


Every time he asked her out she replied she's not permitted to date patients.


This went on for several weeks.


Harry called his friend who ran the clinic.


He said to him, "Guess what? I'm all better now - and I'm checking myself out."


Then he asked Peggy out.


And she said yes.

An unbelievable backyard birthday party

It’s Friday, we’re in a fabulous mood with this three-day weekend ahead of us, so we’re going to do something a little different today. We’re going to share a birthday partay! When Alec Vanderboom sends you an event it’s pretty hard to say no to sharing it, and we thought you’d all love this birthday party for Ashley of we are the parsons. It’s perfect inspiration for any event you might be planning, wedding included!

The mastermind behind this soiree? Jeremy, Ashley’s husband and second half of photography duo, we are the parsons. The bio on their site is a must read. It’s silly, heartfelt and will give you a glimpse into the fun life and love they have for each other and their two sons, referred to as “the brothers”.

Great food, vintage lighting, floral goodness, Bluegrass playing all evening long, one large family-style table amidst the best of friends? There really isn’t a more perfect way to celebrate.

With the help of all their friends coming together, Jeremy pulled off such a memorable event. We can only imagine the incredible woman Ashley must be! Thanks for capturing this celebration so perfectly Alec. You have us looking forward to throwing parties like this in the long Summer nights ahead. Happy birthday Ashley!

Cathryn & Alex | FASHION WEDDING,

 

Oh how I love finally getting together with couples after what seems like forever talking over email. Cathryn & Alex are getting married next year in Cornwall (whoop whoop!), and I have to say that even though I’m normally more interested in slowing time down, when it comes to the prospect of this wedding, I wish it was here already!
For their engagement session, Cathryn & Alex wanted to return to Hyde Park, which is where Alex proposed – we even found the exact bench they were sat on when Cathryn said ‘yes’. I absolutely adore these two, and had so much fun making them roll around all over the park (sorry about all the fluff on your clothes guys! :P). Did I say I can’t wait for the big day??

Been feeling a bit blah today so I thought I’d post Emilie & Guillaume’s engagement session on the South Bank in order to cheer myself up a bit. So much colour and laughter! I loved these two, and feel so honoured that they came all the way from France to have a session with me. Thank you Emilie and Guillaume, I do hope your wedding day will be absolutely fantabulous! x
