KONICHI-WA

KONICHI-WA,

In May I boarded my plane to the wonderful city of Tokyo, Japan.
First thing i noticed arriving in Tokyo was the wonderful weather, i came from singapore where it was extremely hot and muggy at the moment, but Tokyo's weather was so refreshing and cool. A great start!
I met my friend Aleisha at her place and we spent the whole night chatting and catching up...

The next day we went to Disneyland!
Yes i would have to say that i never want to grow up, i can see why people buy annual passes to this disney, i truly felt as though i was living in a fantasy land!
The young Japanese babies are the cutest things i have ever seen in my whole entire life, i love the overall atmosphere of the park, Mickey made me smile, the easter parade was magical and the night parade!

DISNEYSEA

a few days later we went to disneysea, and we could not have picked a better day to go, it was raining a little bit but not too badly we bought MICKEY AND MINNIE PONCHOS!
and we didnt have to line up for any rides!
My favorite show was the ariel show! She was so beautiful!
The whole atmosphere again was magical! can i live there?

Tokyo- THE BIG CITY

Yes at first it all can appear a tad overwhelming, especially taking a look at the train map...

help was my first reaction too... but luckily enough i had a few pros to help me get around the city for a few days!
I cant exactly remember where we went on one of those days but it was to this super cute vintage area, the shops were amazing! I found that the japanese people take such good care of their clothes so that when they do become vintage, they are pretty much brand new!

HARAJUKU

shopping central, and fashion central- its "the" place for the "harajuku girls" to express themselves. Inventing, creative somewhat over the top outfits- they mostly come out on sundays. I was amazed, Japan takes fashion to the next step. As soon as i saw some of the fashionistas in Tokyo i could tell what the fashion was, Floral jumpsuits, denim vest, straw hat.. Yes i did see more than one person in this outfit, but funnily enough each individual kind of made it their own...

have you ever seen a street so busy before!!! Try weaving through this crowd, although it is not that bad once you get amongst it all, everyone is very friendly and polite- most of the time! >.<

me and harajuku girls, inspired by crafts, the girl on the left used craft eyeballs as her eyebrows! they remind me of bright yummy candy! its funny how you can just throw on any piece of clothing and it matches- well maybe not matches but works in an odd way.

site seeing

there is so much to see and do in Japan and i didnt even get to do half of it!
i did travel to Kamarkura, for the day and it was so beautiful and serene...
It didnt even feel like i was in an extremely busy city!

There were so many cute restaurants, temples and shrines.. and the Big buddah.

Asakusa

busy, busier, and busiest! did i mention that today was extremely busy!
it was like an ant hill only not on a hill, but in the sense of weaving in and out of the people.
Here i saw a temple at the end of this street, and also had my fortune read!
there was the yummiest food here too!
glutenous rice balls with sesame or redbean!
I also found the cutest japanese restaurant- sushi go round! and I feel in love with eel!
it was actually quite tasty! =)

be sure to visit some themed restaurants too! they are so much fun! we went to the lock up! and actually got locked up and dragged to our "cell", attacked by monsters! and drank out of test tubes!
The food was actually not that bad too! and it was very affordable!
terrifying non the less! haha

I had an amazing time in tokyo, and i NEED to head back there soon!
wonderful country
amazing food
beautiful people

x
